PFAS, nicknamed “forever chemicals”, were widely coated onto paper to block grease and moisture for decades.

The downside: PFAS barely break down, accumulate in soil, water and human bodies, triggering health concerns.

The new regulatory limits are very low:

▫️ Individual PFAS <25 ppb

▫️ Sum of targeted PFAS <250 ppb

▫️ Total PFAS <50 ppm

Traditional fluorinated greaseproof paper can hardly meet these criteria. That’s why European brands, converters and foodservice chains are rapidly migrating to PFAS-free alternatives.

At Jusheng Paper, we’ve developed 3 tailored PFAS-free greaseproof paper solutions to match different market demands:

✅ Premium Grade | ForestPure (Senben) — High-beating PFAS-free greaseproof paper, superior oil resistance & surface stability for high-end QSR and bakery packaging.

✅ Cost-effective Grade | ForestClean (Senjie) — Starch-based PFAS-free greaseproof paper, balanced performance & price for mass takeaway applications.

✅ Eco-budget Grade | ForestOrigin (Senyuan) — Zero-additive PFAS-free greaseproof paper, fully eco-friendly for standard food wraps.

We also supply ForestColor coloured food packaging paper as a supplementary option.

All our grades comply with EU & FDA food contact standards, with complete test reports available.

If you are sourcing packaging materials for the EU market, let’s talk about your grease barrier requirements and compliance documentation.
